Sussex Warren Soccer Club

SWSC Travel Overview

Come join one of the largest and highest performing not-for-profit clubs in the greater Morris County area!

Sussex Warren Soccer Club’s goal is to form multiple teams per age group at varying levels of competition so that each child can have confidence in building their technical, tactical, and mental abilities to achieve success on the field. Blending a broad population of players from Blairstown, Knowlton, & Frelinghuysen, and the surrounding areas allows each child to grow at the appropriate pace for  them, developing their skills and creating great experiences with their teammates and friends.

Our Travel program is designed to prepare local athletes to achieve their best possible experience competing on their middle school and high school teams. It is ideal for families of well-rounded players that have an aptitude for the game and are not seeking the significantly increased volume of programming, interstate travel, and financial commitment of Academy level programs, due to other sports, activities, and interests.

Players will climb the rungs of the soccer ladder, earning their way through the Morris County Youth Soccer Association (MCYSA) league against other local not-for-profit clubs. As their abilities dictate, our highest achieving teams will advance into the Eastern Development Program (EDP) league, competing with local teammates and friends against other for-profit clubs in the area.

Tryouts typically take place each Spring, conducted by our professional training vendor (SAGA Futbol Club), and rosters are formed based upon evaluations after tryouts and from previous in-season player performance evaluations.  See below for the program outline.

U8-U14

Travel soccer begins with the U8 age group and continues to U-19.

U8-U14 requires players to commit to a ten-week fall and ten-week spring season.

Included in the Travel Program:

  • 3 days per week of training in both the fall and spring.
  • 8 Morris County Youth Soccer Association (MCYSA) or Eastern Development Program (EDP) league games in both the fall and spring.
  • Entry in one club approved tournament - additional tournaments may be added at team request for an additional fee.
  • 1 day per week of supplemental goalkeeper training in both the fall and spring.

U15-U18 (Spring-only high school soccer)

It is anticipated that our HS players are competing with their school teams throughout the fall. To support our HS programs, the SWSC Travel Program for HS players only participates in a 10-week spring season as outlined above. This is a great opportunity for teammates at our local high schools to hone their craft and further develop chemistry, both on and off the field.

Full Year:

$600, non-refundable and due upon acceptance into a team, typically a few weeks after tryouts. This can be divided into four payments, with the first payment due upon acceptance, and subsequent payments occurring on a quarterly schedule through the summer, fall, winter, & spring with final payment using the same credit card used for the initial payment. There is a $2.80 transaction fee per payment payable to the NJYSA website vendor, SWSC does not collect this fee.
